Responding with Love

                Is it true that when people act/speak in an evil way it causes us to be angry, fearful, or hateful? I have been thinking about this recently, how I get very angry when people speak/act unkindly or hurtfully. You could say people are justified in their anger, because we should be angry about evil. But when I look back on history, and the different spiritual texts, they talk about forgiveness, and not blaming others for how we feel. There have been moments in my life where I've been like "Really? You're gonna be mean like THAT?" And then I remember how we are all fighting a hard battle, in a world where love is conditional, and where people are just tired of suffering. I think if there is someone speaking/acting in an evil way in our life, we can walk away for a bit, and think of a gentle and loving way to respond. And I think that true healing is everyone's destiny. Just some thoughts.

Enlightenment/Miracles

  So, enlightenment is something that isn't widely known about, yet it is the state of being that all the different religions talk about. It is possible that you could enjoy life with the potency of a child, and the wisdom of an adult. Enlightenment is freedom from the mind out of control, and feeling joyous and right. Some people think enlightenment keeps you from living your life, or being active in fighting for the right causes. But in actuality it gives you courage and wisdom, and helps you bring love into every part of your life, including dealing with conflicts.  I have dealt with a mental health diagnosis over most of my adult life, though I have had glimpses of enlightenment (Satori) that had me keep hoping for that love and peace I felt to come back. Looking back, I now see what many spiritual teachers talk about, which is the importance of how you live your life, how you treat other people.  Doing the task of repentance (forgiving) helps you find enlightenment, ...
