Healing the soul's hurt

I was just thinking, "is everybody not liking me all the time, or am I not liking everybody all the time?" This thought came from the realization that I don't like/love anybody in my life all the time or fully. How can this be so? Can people relate to this? I think most of the world might relate to this to be honest. This is wrong ego, this is wrong personality, this is wrong beliefs, intentions, thoughts, words, deeds, feelings or desires. Some people grow up in violent situations. There is violence in people's upbringings, violence in school, violence in society. I think this has led many people to be violent, and society has convinced us that the solution to this is jail/prison. Jail/prison as it is is not a solution, it is a crime against humanity. Even if there were no threat of violence/abuse from other prisoners, being in a jail cell for days on end, or for any amount of time, is tortuous. It is counterproductive to punish people in ANY way. A Shaman has a certain position in a traditional culture in different parts of the world. They are a counselor, a teacher, a therapist, a healer. There are more roles that they have. A Psychologist, in today's society, works with people on a certain level by talking about their issues, and finding solutions in a safe way. We can be our own therapist and Shaman by spending time looking into ourselves, our lives, and making the choices that we know are right for us. If we haven't been listening to our heart for a long time it can be hard to hear, but with dedication and love it becomes easier and easier to do the next right thing.
