Fear and Judgement

 


Why am I afraid of people not liking me? I fear that because the fear is painful, and I am blaming them for the pain I feel. If I think people don't like me to any degree, I feel fear, anger, or hatred, and that pain makes me hate them, and I feel ashamed because of that. All the spiritual texts say that we are to be good to everyone, inside and out, and love everyone, even those who have done wrong. I'm a work in progress. Forgiveness is the medicine I'm using to heal my fears.

Forgiveness Meditation and Thoughts

 What is right judgement? It is discernment of actions, examining our beliefs, intentions, thoughts, words, deeds, and feelings, seeing them as right or wrong without wrong judgement. Wrong judgement is fear or hatred of anyone or anything, or any of those above mentioned actions. When a situation or person causes you fear or hatred, deal with it by talking it out with yourself or God, and pray about/for them. It may give you the strength and/or courage to say something, do something, walk away, accept, pray, forgive or any combination of those things.
